Argo: The Jacket Not The Film

Combining vintage Italian design with a contemporary twist, Nemen have unleashed a lovely line of classic winter gear at a reasonable price...

Nemen is all about carrying the baton for premium Italian made clothing, one of the recent worst kept secrets amongst certain circles. This is the next step for all round nice guy Fabio Cavina formerly of 12th Man.

Together with partner Leonardo, they aim to carry on the demand for traditional Italian tailoring and heritage, manufacturing high end technical goods, entirely made in Italy. All the while constantly experimenting with innovative fabrics and garment dye techniques.

A passionate project, Nemen is developed in close collaboration with historical suppliers of famous names in Italian sportswear, companies which share the Nemen spirit and which have always focused their work on concepts such as quality and innovation, continuous research and experimentation, setting the standards for the market over the past decades.

The construction of products that incorporate a high research content along with classic styles inspired by the territory from which they originate, the devil is in the detail as they say, asid from dying techniques and top notch materials, typical hallmarks include Lampo zippers, leather pullers and corozo buttons. As the label was launched and the first wave of orders went in recently, the feedback looks to be great. It looks a superb debut collection, the Argo taking my eye straight away - where classic meets contemporary. In this day and age of extreme expensive goods, Nemen is also very competetively priced for such a brand. Jackets are like investments these days, the good thing with this brand is your parka will more than likely still look cool in ten years time.

It Musto Be Time For Jumpers and Coats Again

There’s No Such Thing As Bad Weather….

Whilst it arguably never went away for some, it’s fair to say more terrace inspired looks and Paninari led trends are back at the moment, trainers are on the feet of those who all sold off their massive collections once again. Italian sportswear labels are sported again too, as goggles and patches make a swift return for some, in moderation of course!

Full circle? back to basics? who knows, adopt and adapt I say.

With the emergence of brands like Nemen it’s only really a good thing that this classic (oft underrated) look seems here to stay.

Keep your eye out for Nemen on the terraces/beer gardens up and down the UK, it’s sure to get popular.

10 Years too late IMO. SPW associated brands are dead in the water for me and a lot of people i know. I'll leave it to the casualz.
