Man United: Ignore Reports, Vidal Is There For The Taking

He’s good. He’s very good. So good that our own Italian football expert Richard Whittle reckons he could even become good enough to win a Ballon d’Or one day and who are we to argue?

He was a rumour mill mainstay before the World Cup and now, after a few great performances for Chile, he’s been vaulted back to the front of the queue.

Chelsea and Man United have been patiently waiting for a time to pounce and that time might be as last week, according to Sky Sports, Vidal told reporters that he “does not know” if he’ll remain at Juventus. The Turin club, while very good, lack the glamour of the Premier League and it’s no surprise that his head’s been turned.

A dynamic midfielder with a tireless engine, the 27-year-old also has bags of talent and one of the worst haircuts we’ve ever seen. Seriously, it looks like three haircuts in one. He picked up 18 goals in 45 games for Juventus last year which is pretty darn impressive for a centre-midfielder.

Update: According to Football Italia, Vidal has told a Chilean newspaper “Who wouldn’t be pleased” to be linked to Man United. Go on, Louis - go in for the kill, lad.
