Chelsea: Blues Set To Steal Man United’s Number One Strike Target

His side might have booked their place in the last eight of the Champions League on Tuesday night - but that won’t slow Chelsea manager’s exploration of the transfer market.

With 83 year old apostrophe enthusiast Samuel Eto’o’o’o’o’s contract due to expire in the summer - and having mooted that he might be interested in a return to Inter Milan, the Stamford Bridge gaffer has been trekking deep into the Wikipedian jungle to snare his next goalie botherer.

If Eto’o does pitch up at the San Siro once again, that could be just the start of several dealings between the two clubs this off-season.

Nerazzurri Sporting Director (also read: ball blower upper), Piero Ausilio, present at Chelsea’s tie with Galatasaray earlier this week, rumours are hotting up that the Italian club are also keeping a cool, designer sunglassed eye on Spanish banjo-wielder, Fernando Torres.

And with Mourinho well-known to be trailing Inter’s midfield duo Fredy Guarin and Mateo Kovacic, there could well be a deal to be done.

Additionally, the exit of the two Stamford Bridge forwards could pave the way for Chelsea to make a pretty big splash in the transfer market,

A Diego Costa-sized splash, in fact. The Atletico Madrid forward, who is also a target for Man United, has burst onto the scene this campaign following Falcao’s exit to Monaco, has smashed 22 goals so far. That’s eight more than Chelsea’s forwards combined.

Needless to say, the rumours don’t end there, with the Blues’ feelers also said to be gently stroking the likes of Hulk, Edinson Cavani, and - get this, even Luis Suarez.

Either way, with Romelu Lukaku also likely returning from a gap year on Merseyside, it looks like Chelsea might be spoilt for choice next year. Blues fans - who would your pick be?
